Newly Built Ice Center With Car Park in New Urban Area
Østerbro Ice Skating Rink
Ice skating rink, service and club facilities, spectator areas, training facility, association facilities and car park

The project includes an ice center with an ice rink measuring 30x60 meters and service and club facilities for the users of the center. The spectator areas capacitate 500 people – 300 seated and 200 standing. Moreover, the ice center will have a training facility and association facilities. A multi-story car park will be established to the east for both the guests using the center and the residents of the future housing projects.
Ventilation and climate management is essential since the various areas of the building must have very different temperatures. Humidity and indoor climate management is therefore a key part of the construction. Commissioning (Cx) is carried out on all installations.
This is a PPP project (Public-Private Partnership) in which CASA and DEAS are in charge of the construction and internal and external maintenance for the first approx. 24 years, whereas the City of Copenhagen is in charge of financing and daily operations.

“It’s a key priority for me that we build sports facilities for the people of Copenhagen. With the new ice center, we will get a magnificent venue that will bring joy to both young and old skating enthusiasts. The ice center will also bring vibrant cultural and leisure activities in the new urban area Østre Gasværk Kvarter.”
